Hi friends!
It's so crazy to believe that we are finally married!! The moment we have been waiting on this past year finally came and it was absolutely the best day ever! This past year flew by with wedding planning and all of our planning definitely paid off. Any time someone asks me what my favorite part of the day was, I can't pick just one. Every detail of our day went perfectly and we couldn't have done it without all of our amazing vendors!!
To make sure no detail of our amazing day is left out, I'm going to be breaking down our big day into several posts! So let's get into it!
The Look
Beauty: Beauty by Ten Oh Eight
Spray Tan: Browning Studio Midtown
Getting Ready Pjs: Amazon
Waking up at 5 am on your wedding day is no easy task. But having a beauty team that was absolutely amazing made our 6 am call time worth it. And by beauty team, I mean queen of hair and make-up Alison! Alison had all four of us ready for the day by 10 am and we all looked stunning!
The Dress
Growing up I always dreamed of getting married and wearing a big white dress. I never had a dream style of dress or specific image in mind, but once I tried on my dress in Dressing Room South, I knew it was the one. The floral embroidery details in the laces added the perfect pop of detail against all of the greenery and wood on our big day.
The Veil
The one detail about my look that I knew I had to have was glitter. Whether in the dress or in the veil, it was a must. While dress shopping that was one thing I couldn't find in a dress. So I decided to go for a glitter cathedral length veil from Volia Bridal, and I think I loved it just as much as my dress.
The Shoes
The last detail about my look that was a must was blue shoes. I have always been drawn to blue block heels in bridal looks and I spent months looking for the perfect pair. I ended up falling in love with a turquoise blue and gold pair of Michael Kor block heels and they were better than I could have imagined. A major plus is that they were actually comfortable and I was able to wear them the entire day and dance in them!
The Bridesmaids
When it came to wedding colors I knew I wanted my bridesmaid dresses to be the only pop of color! I was torn between this dusty rose color and more of a rust tone. I am so happy that we decided on this color! It was the perfect contrasting color with my dress, the greenery, the venue, and the girls! All three wore the same style, and they all looked beautiful! We used the Azazie at-home try-on and were so pleased with the process!
One of my gifts to the girls was the earrings they wore! For my Matron and Maid of Honor, I gifted them Kendra Scott gold drop earrings. The simple pop of gold was perfect for their look! For my Junior Bridesmaid, I went with a more youthful style and gifted her the Kendra Scott Heart Huggies!
The Men
The most important detail of the guys' look was Chris's boots. Chris and I took a special trip to Charleston earlier this summer to get his dream pair of Tecovas for the big day. I love that he had this special detail in mind, and it made his look special. The rest of the guys' looks were all rentals from Men's Wearhouse.
