Hi friends!
It's been a while since I've shared a book review! Well let me be honest, it's been a while since I actually read a book. I finally found the time these past few weeks to pick back up reading and I've read a few good books that I wanted to share with yall!

Rating: 4/5
This was the first book I picked up after taking a break from reading and I was not disappointed. This book was set on a remote island that had a dark history. The story was told from various points of view of the 'Now' and 'Then' from several of the girls. It was interesting to get different sides of the story throughout the book. The story follows a group as they sail out to this remote island to get off the grid. Weird things start happening on the island all while the girls are trying to figure out their own dark past. I really enjoyed the mystery aspect of this book. The whole time I was trying to figure out who in the group was good or bad. This would be a really good book to take with you on any of your summer trips or pool days!

I love a good mystery if you haven't noticed, and this was a good one! This story is set around a family that is affected by a serial killer. On the anniversary of the killings they are trying to move on with life but a copycat killer emerges. I found myself trying to figure out the killer the whole time.
I had a small list of potential killers, and I was so close to guessing it but even I missed a few details!

This book... I actually didn't finish. It had to have been one of the slowest reads I've had in a long time. After reading some reviews I decided to not finish it even though I was 100% determined to finish it. It was so overly detailed in every character's life that I found myself wondering what it had to do with the main storyline. (I would probably know that if I finished the book, but I have so many other reads I wanted to get too!) I might come back to this book later, but I wouldn't recommend this as a summer read.

For me, this was your typical feel-good love story by Colleen Hoover. I have read so many of her books and they are all so good, but once you pick up on her writing style, you can figure out how the story is going to go. If you are looking for a quick romance read this summer, this is a good one!
If you are looking to step up your reading game this summer, I highly recommend a Kindle Paperwhite! I absolutely love mine because it's so lightweight, and I can read anywhere! The screen is also visible in bright sunlight and at night! Not to mention, it's also waterproof! If you are planning on flying anywhere, you can also download your books to read anywhere. I also subscribe to Kindle Unlimited through amazon to read free books, which saves a ton of money if you are a quick reader like me!
